Barefoot Coffee Roasters

I grabbed a power-jack-accessible spot at the bar against the wall and ordered my first round.
"I've never been here before. Everyone says you're great. What should I have first? I'm gonna be here a while."
The barista didn't hesitate, "you need our Capuccinno"
When it arrived, i asked if I should add anything.
"Nooooo!" he said.
And he was right. This was absolutely, without a doubt, the BEST cup of coffee I had ever had.
The whole vibe of the place was comfortable, reminding me of places like the Hideout in Austin. The couches looked dangerously comfortable, so I avoided them. The crowd was kind. Dude next to me watched my laptop while I stepped out for an interview.
The most painful part of this place is its location in a landscape destroying strip mall at the intersection of a freeway and major roads, but that's Cali for you. Soccer moms gotta get good coffee too.
Warning. Some of their most stylish shoes are made only for children. Guess I should have some babies so they can rock the high fashion
Today was my first visit. I ordered the swordfish kebab, which was quite tasty. I also ordered bakalava. An hour after leaving, I realized I left the bakalava, went back, and the cashier smiled at me. "Go ahead and take one."
Good food made and sold by good folks. I'll be going back a lot more.

Pizza Luce

Pizza Luce (pronounced lu-CHAY) kicks ass.
Upon entering, i saw that every single male at the bar wore a plaid, flanel shirt, jeans, bushy beard and glasses. I had to decide a) was this the arrival of Brooklyn style two years too late or b) is this how the folks here really look, and Brooklyn just pimped it?
Doesn't matter. That's the answer.
My waiter was a fresh-faced college-looking kid who was eager to provide recommendations, and am I glad I listened!
I started with their original Roasted Red Pepper Artichoke Dip. It comes with pita bread and is definitely the hotness. According to our waiter, the recipe was an accident. The chef mistakenly dropped a red pepper into the dip and served it anyway. They added it to the menu but removed it two weeks later.
There was such an uproar from customers to bring it back, that they did, and now it's one of their most-requested appetizers.
For pizza's I tried The Wrangler with their own vegan "rinotta chees" (tasty) and Garlic Mashed Potato (heaven).
A wonderful bottle of wine accompanied this along with a copy of The Onion.
So far, Pizza Luce is all I know about the Twin Cities, but based on that, it's a great place, and I'll have to come back!

The Comedy Studio
Categories: Performing Arts, Comedy Clubs
Neighborhood: Harvard Square
It's been run by Rick Jenkins for over 10 years now, and is the place to go if you like to laugh at more than penis jokes. Plus you get to enjoy yourself more with a scorpion bowl in front of you.
Major talent scouts recruit from here including: Comedy Central, The HBO Comedy Festival, The Montreal Comedy Festival and Conan O'Brien, whose producers call it "the greatest comedy club on Earth."
Comedy shows run Wednesday through Sunday, 8pm-10pm, and there's magic on Tuesdays at the same time.
The food is really good, and the ongoing coupons and specials make less of a dent in your wallet. In a town overrun with Indian restaurants, India Palace stands out as a must-visit.

My most fond memory, however, is that this is the place where I unlocked and jailbroke my iPhone. Yep, with my macbook and their wifi, nothing could stop me. It's so appropriate that I liberated my technology at "revolution" cafe.
Thanks yall.
